Freshmen

Welcome to Hammond High Magnet School! We are happy that you are here and look forward to seeing you thrive over the next 4 years. Please check out the tab "Contact Your Counselor" so you know your go-to person for academic, career and social/emotional questions. 

To access the How To Graduate digital notebook, click here. Be sure to make a copy if you want to fill it out and use it. It will help you keep track of your credits as you move through high school. 

In order to be promoted to 10th grade, you have to earn 6 credits this year. 

Freshmen Testing

All freshman will have the opportunity to take the PreACT in the Spring. 

LEAP 2025- Most freshmen will take the English I and Algebra I test. Some will also take the Biology I test.
